Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that: “And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House—for whoever is able to find thereto a way.” “It is Allah’s right upon the people that whoever has the ability to reach His House should perform Hajj.” The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about this verse, so he said: “It means that you have access to the back of a riding animal.”
