Hadith 2422

حَدَّثَنِي بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُجَهَّزُ مِنْ أَصْلِ كِتَابِهِ ، نا محَمَّدُ بْنُ غَالِبٍ تَمْتَامٌ ، نا محَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ ، نا محَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرِ ،عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ إِلَى الْحَجِّ ، فَقَالَ : " الزَّادُ وَالرَّاحِلَةُ " .
The same narration is also transmitted with another chain from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). In one narration, these words are present: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the means for Hajj, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(It means) provision for the journey and a mount."
