بَابُ الشَّهَادَةِ عَلَى رُؤْيَةِ الْهِلَالِChapter on testimony for sighting the crescent

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الصَّانِعُ ، ثنا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ إِيَاسَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُمَيْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ عُمُومَتِهِ ، قَالُوا : " قَامَتِ الْبَيِّنَةُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُمْ رَأَوُا الْهِلالَ ، فَأَمَرَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يُفْطِرُوا ، وَأَنْ يَغْدُوا مِنَ الْغَدِ إِلَى عِيدِهِمْ " . هَذَا إِسْنَادٌ حَسَنٌ ، وَمَا بَعْدَهُ أَيْضًا.
Abu Umair bin Anas narrates from his uncles: The testimony was presented before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that the people had sighted the moon, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the people: "Break your fast and go out for the Eid prayer the next morning." This narration is Hasan, and the following narration is also Hasan.
