حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مِرْدَاسٍ ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ، وَخَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْمُقْرِئُ ، قَالا : نا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " اخْتَلَفَ النَّاسُ فِي آخِرِ يَوْمٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، فَقَدِمَ أَعْرَابِيَّانِ فَشَهِدَا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِاللَّهِ لأَهَلا الْهِلالَ أَمْسِ عَشِيَّةً ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يُفْطِرُوا " . زَادَ خَلْفٌ : وَأَنْ يَغْدُوا إِلَى مُصَلاهُمْ . هَذَا إِسْنَادٌ حَسَنٌ ثَابِتٌ.
Rabi’ bin Hirash narrates from a companion: There was a disagreement among the people regarding the last day of Ramadan. Two villagers came and swore by Allah before the Prophet (peace be upon him) that they had seen the moon the previous night. The Prophet (peace be upon him) instructed the people: “Break your fast and celebrate Eid al-Fitr.” The narrator named Khalaf added this: “The Prophet (peace be upon him) instructed: Let the people go to the Eidgah (for the Eid prayer).” This chain is Hasan and established.
