حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ صَاعِدٍ ، ثنا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ ، ثنا ابْنُ سَوَاءٍ ، ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ " ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرِ مِثْلَهُ إِلَى آخِرِهِ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ : الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ . رَوْحُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ مِنَ الثِّقَاتِ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Begin fasting upon sighting the moon." Then he narrated the hadith as previously, but in this narration, there is no mention of: "Sometimes the month is twenty-nine days." The narrator of this narration, Ruh bin Qasim, is trustworthy.
