بَابُ زَكَاةِ الْفِطْرِChapter on zakat al-fitr

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ الْخَالِقِ ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُفَيْرٍ ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ ، عَنْ عِصْمَةَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فِي صَدَقَةِ الْفِطْرِ مُدَّانِ مِنْ قَمْحٍ ، أَوْ صَاعٌ مِنْ شَعِيرٍ ، أَوْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ زَبِيبٍ ، فَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ عِنْدَهُ أَقِطٌ وَعِنْدَهُ لَبَنٌ ، فَصَاعَيْنِ مِنْ لَبَنٍ " .
Asma bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) regarding Zakat al-Fitr: "It will be two sa’ of wheat, or one sa’ of barley, or one sa’ of dates, or one sa’ of raisins. Whoever does not have cheese, but has milk, then he will give a sa’ of milk."
