حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَدَّادُ ، وَحَمْدَانُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالا : نا دَاوُدُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبَّادٍ السَّعْدِيُّ ، وَكَانَ مِنْ خِيَارِ النَّاسِ ، نا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ صَارِخًا بِبَطْنِ مَكَّةَ ، مِثْلَهُ سَوَاءً ، وَزَادَ : أَلا إِنَّ الْوَلَدَ لِلْفِرَاشِ ، وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered a man to make this announcement in a low-lying area of the valley of Makkah. However, in this narration, these additional words are mentioned: "Be aware! The child belongs to the (owner of) the bed, and the adulterer gets deprivation."
