Hadith 2051

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الصَّقْرِ ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، ومُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْمُسَيَّبِيُّ ، قَالا : نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ عَتَّابِ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ أَنْ يَخْرُصَ الْعِنَبُ زَبِيبًا كَمَا يُخْرَصُ التَّمْرُ " .
Sayyiduna ‘Attab bin Asid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that the produce of the grapevine be assessed and zakat be taken in the form of grapes, just as the produce of dates is assessed (or dates are taken after estimation).
