Hadith 2043

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الأَيَامِيُّ ، ثنا ابْنُ شِهَابِ الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ عَتَّابِ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ ، قَالَ : " أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أُخَرِّصَ أَعْنَابَ ثَقِيفٍ خَرْصَ النَّخْلِ ، ثُمَّ تُؤَدَّى زَكَاتُهُ زَبِيبًا كَمَا تُؤَدَّى زَكَاةُ النَّخْلِ تَمْرًا " . وَخَالَفَهُ الْوَاقِدِيُّ ، رَوَاهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، فَزَادَ فِي الإِسْنَادِ الْمِسْوَرَ بْنَ مَخْرَمَةَ.
Sayyiduna ‘Attab bin Asid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) instructed me: “I should estimate the grapevines of the Thaqif tribe to determine how much fruit is on their vines, then their zakat will be paid in the form of grapes, just as the zakat of date palms is paid in the form of dates.” This narration is also transmitted with another chain.
