Hadith 2032

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ ، ثنا عَمِّي ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، " أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَضَ فِيمَا سَقَتِ السَّمَاءُ وَالأَنْهَارُ وَالْعُيُونُ وَمَا كَانَ عَثْرِيًّا الْعُشْرَ ، وَمَا سُقِيَ بِالنَّضْحِ نِصْفَ الْعُشْرِ ".
Salim bin Abdullah narrates from his father: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) prescribed the payment of one-tenth (ushr) from the produce irrigated by rain, rivers, or springs, and for that which is irrigated artificially, half of one-tenth is obligatory.
