Amr bin Shu'aib narrates from his father, from his grandfather: Two women from Yemen came to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and they were wearing gold bangles. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked both of them: "Would you like that Allah makes you wear bangles of fire?" They replied: "No!" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Then pay its due." In another narration, these words are mentioned: They were wearing gold bangles, and it also contains these words: (The Prophet, peace be upon him, said): "Then pay its due, which is obligatory upon you." (The narrator says): By this, zakat was meant. The narrator of this narration, Hajjaj, is Hajjaj bin Arta'ah, and he is not reliable.
