حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْبَاقِي بْنُ قَانِعٍ ، نا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، نا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ ، نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يُغْسَلُ ثَلاثًا أَوْ خَمْسًا أَوْ سَبْعًا " . تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكُ الْحَدِيثِ ، وَغَيْرُهُ يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ، " فَاغْسِلُوهُ سَبْعًا " ، وَهُوَ الصَّوَابُ .
The same narration is also transmitted with another chain, however, in it the words are: "That person should wash it three times (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps the words are:) wash it five times or wash it seven times." In narrating this hadith from the narrator named Isma'il, the narrator named 'Abdul Wahhab is unique, and this narrator is "rejected in hadith." Other narrators have transmitted this narration from the narrator named Isma'il, and in it the words are: "Wash it seven times." And this narration is correct.
