حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو رَوْقٍ الْهِزَّانِيُّ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَكْرٍ ، بِالْبَصْرَةِ ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رَوْحٍ ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ ، وَعَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ لأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ : " ائْتُونِي بِخَمْسٍ ، أَوْ لَبِيسٍ آخُذُ مِنْكُمْ فِي الصَّدَقَةِ ، فَهُوَ أَهْوَنُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَخَيْرٌ لِلْمُهَاجِرِينَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ " ، فَقَالَ عَمْرٌو : " ائْتُونِي بِعَرَضِ ثِيَابٍ " . هَذَا مُرْسَلٌ ، طَاوُسٌ لَمْ يُدْرِكْ مُعَاذًا.
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the people of Yemen: "Bring to me khamees or labees (types of cloth), I will collect zakat from you; this will be easier for you and more preferable and better for the emigrants residing in Madinah Munawwarah." The narrator named Umar has transmitted these words: "Bring to me wide garments." This narration is mursal, because the narrator named Tawus did not live in the time of Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him).
