حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ الأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُنَيْنِيُّ ، ثنا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ، وَمُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ، حِينَ بَعَثَهُمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ يُعَلِّمَانِ النَّاسَ أَمْرَ دِينِهِمْ : " لا تَأْخُذُوا الصَّدَقَةَ إِلا مِنْ هَذِهِ الأَرْبَعَةِ : الشَّعِيرِ ، وَالْحِنْطَةِ ، وَالزَّبِيبِ ، وَالتَّمْرِ " .
Abu Burdah narrates from Sayyiduna Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him): When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) sent these two gentlemen to Yemen, they taught the people religious rulings (and said): "You should collect zakat only from these four things: barley, wheat, raisins, and dates."
