بَابُ وُلُوغِ الْكَلْبِ فِي الْإِنَاءِChapter on a dog lapping in a vessel

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ بِشْرِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ ، نا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ ، نا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفًا ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْكِلابِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " مَا لَهُمْ وَلَهَا ؟ " ، فَرَخَّصَ فِي كَلْبِ الصَّيْدِ وَفِي كَلْبِ الْغَنَمِ ، وَقَالَ : " إِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي الإِنَاءِ فَاغْسِلُوهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ ، وَالثَّامِنَةَ عَفِّرُوهُ فِي التُّرَابِ " . صَحِيحٌ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ordered the killing of dogs. He (peace be upon him) said: "What benefit do people get from them?" Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) permitted keeping hunting dogs and dogs for the protection of goats. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "When a dog puts its mouth in a utensil, wash it seven times and rub it with earth the eighth time." This hadith is "Sahih" (authentic).
