حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ دَرَسْتَوَيْهِ النَّحْوِيُّ ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الصَّقْرُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا رَجَاءٍ الْعُطَارِدِيَّ ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَيْسَ فِي الْخَضْرَاوَاتِ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَلا فِي الْعَرَايَا صَدَقَةٌ ، وَلا فِي أَقَلَّ مِنْ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَلا فِي الْعَوَامِلِ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَلا فِي الْجَبْهَةِ صَدَقَةٌ " . قَالَ الصَّقْرُ : الْجَبْهَةُ : الْخَيْلُ وَالْبِغَالُ وَالْعَبِيدُ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no zakat on vegetables, there is no zakat on ‘araya’, there is no zakat on (grain) less than five wasq, there is no zakat on animals used for labor, and there is no zakat on the forehead." The narrator named Saqr bin Habib explains: By "forehead" is meant horses, mules, and slaves.
