حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ ، ثنا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، ثنا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، ثنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ عَبَّاسٍ الْجُشَمِيِّ ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ مِنَ الأَئِمَّةِ طَرَّادِينَ " . زَادَ ابْنُ مَخْلَدٍ : قَالَ قَتَادَةُ : لا أَعْلَمُ الطَّرَّادِينَ ، إِلا الَّذِينَ يُطَوِّلُونَ عَلَى النَّاسِ ، حَتَّى يَطْرُدُونَهُمْ عَنْهُ.
Sayyiduna Abbas Jashmi narrates: The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Some imams are those who drive people away." The narrator of this narration, Qatadah, says: To the best of my knowledge, by "those who drive people away" are meant those who recite at length during leading the prayer, to the extent that people leave them and go away.
