Sayyiduna Abu Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Nine individuals who participated in the Battle of Uhud were brought, and with them was the tenth, Sayyiduna Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the funeral prayer for all of them, then the nine were buried and Sayyiduna Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) was not buried. Then nine more individuals were brought, and with them the tenth was Sayyiduna Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the funeral prayer for all of them as well, then the nine were buried and Sayyiduna Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) was not buried (i.e., the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the funeral prayer for Sayyiduna Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) repeatedly).
