بَابُ صِفَةِ مَنْ تَجُوزُ الصَّلَاةُ مَعَهُ وَالصَّلَاةُ عَلَيْهِChapter on the description of one with whom prayer is valid and for whom the funeral prayer is offered
Hadith 1762

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ صَاعِدٍ ، وَابْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، قَالا : نا الْعَلاءُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ ، ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلُّوا عَلَى مَنْ قَالَ : لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ ، وَصَلُّوا وَرَاءَ مَنْ قَالَ : لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Offer the funeral prayer for every person who professes La ilaha illallah, and pray behind every person who professes La ilaha illallah."
