ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ شِمْرٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، وَعَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ ، أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَجْهَرُ فِي الْمَكْتُوبَاتِ بِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ فِي فَاتِحَةِ الْقُرْآنِ ، وَيَقْنُتُ فِي صَلاةِ الْفَجْرِ وَالْوِتْرِ ، وَيُكَبِّرُ فِي دُبُرِ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْمَكْتُوبَاتِ مِنْ قَبْلِ صَلاةِ الْفَجْرِ غَدَاةَ عَرَفَةَ إِلَى صَلاةِ الْعَصْرِ آخِرَ أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ ، يَوْمَ دَفْعَةِ النَّاسِ الْعُظْمَى " .
Abu Tufail (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates about Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib and Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with them both): Both of these companions heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recite Bismillah along with Surah Al-Fatihah in obligatory prayers. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite the supplication of Qunoot in the Fajr prayer and in the Witr prayer, and during the days of Tashreeq, from the Fajr prayer on the day of Arafah until the Asr prayer on the last day of Tashreeq, the day when people depart in large numbers, he used to recite Takbeer after every obligatory prayer.
