حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الأَشْعَثِ ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَنْبَأَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلالٍ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، ثنا مُوهَبُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلالٍ ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا تُوتِرُوا بِثَلاثٍ ، أَوْتِرُوا بِخَمْسٍ ، أَوْ بِسَبْعٍ ، وَلا تَشَبَّهُوا بِصَلاةِ الْمَغْرِبِ " . وَاللَّفْظُ لِمَوْهِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، كُلُّهُمْ ثِقَاتٌ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not perform three rak‘ahs of Witr, perform five or seven rak‘ahs, and do not make it resemble the Maghrib prayer." These are the words of Wahb bin Yazid, and all its narrators are trustworthy.
