بَابٌ: فِيمَنْ يُدْرِكُ مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ رَكْعَةً أَوْ لَمْ يُدْرِكْهَاChapter: Regarding one who catches a rak'ah of Jumu'ah or misses it
Hadith 1601

حَدَّثَنَا بَدْرُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ الْقَاضِي ، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ يَاسِينَ الزَّيَّاتِ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، أَوْ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَلْيُصَلِّ إِلَيْهَا أُخْرَى ، وَمَنْ فَاتَتْهُ الرَّكْعَتَانِ فَلْيُصَلِّ أَرْبَعًا " ، أَوْ قَالَ : الظُّهْرَ ، أَوْ قَالَ : الأُولَى ".
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever catches one rak'ah of Jumu'ah should perform the second with it, and whoever misses two rak'ahs should perform four rak'ahs (of Zuhr). (The narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words:) He should perform four rak'ahs of Zuhr (these are the words)."
