حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبَزَّازُ ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي الْمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ السَّبِيعِيِّ ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ كَانَ جَارَ الْمَسْجِدِ فَسَمِعَ الْمُنَادِيَ يُنَادِي فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ مِنْ غَيْرِ عُذْرٍ فَلا صَلاةَ لَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whoever lives in the neighborhood of the mosque and hears the muezzin giving the call to prayer, and does not come (to the mosque for prayer) without any excuse, then his prayer is not valid."
