حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي دَاوُدَ ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو صَخْرٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ قُسَيْطٍ ، عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " عُرِضَتِ النَّجْمُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ يَسْجُدْ مِنَّا أَحَدٌ " . قَالَ أَبُو صَخْرٍ : وَصَلَّيْتُ وَرَاءَ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، وَأَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَزْمٍ فَلَمْ يَسْجُدَا.
Kharijah bin Zaid narrates from his father, Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him): I recited Surah An-Najm before the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and none of us performed the prostration (sajdah). Abu Sakhr narrates: I prayed behind Umar bin Abdul Aziz and Abu Bakr bin Hazm (in a prayer in which they recited this Surah), and neither of them performed the prostration of recitation.
