حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْخُتُلِّيُّ ، نا مُوسَى بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخُتُلِّيُّ ، نا رَجَاءُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْبَزَّازُ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ ذَرٍّ بِإِسْنَادِهِ ، " عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي السَّجْدَةِ الَّتِي فِي ص ، سَجَدَهَا دَاوُدُ تَوْبَةً ، وَنَحْنُ نَسْجُدُهَا شُكْرًا " .
This narration is also transmitted with another chain, which is about the prostration in Surah Sad. Prophet Dawud (peace be upon him) performed this prostration as an act of repentance, and we perform this prostration as an act of gratitude.
