حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نُوحٍ الْجُنْدِيسَابُورِيُّ ، نا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ ، أنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ ، نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَزِيعٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ ذَرٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " سَجَدَهَا نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ دَاوُدُ تَوْبَةً ، وَسَجَدْنَاهَا شُكْرًا " ، يَعْنِي ص .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sayyiduna Dawud (peace be upon him) performed prostration here due to repentance, and we perform prostration out of gratitude. The narrator states: This refers to the prostration mentioned in Surah Sad.
