حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَصْرِ بْنِ سَنْدَوَيْهِ ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَأَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ وَرَجُلٌ يَقْرَأُ خَلْفَهُ ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ قَالَ : " مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَخْتَلِجُ سُورَتَهُمْ ؟ " ، فَنَهَاهُمْ عَنِ الْقِرَاءَةِ خَلْفَ الإِمَامِ . قَوْلُهُ : فَنَهَاهُمْ عَنِ الْقِرَاءَةِ خَلْفَ الإِمَامِ ، وَهْمٌ مِنْ حَجَّاجٍ ، وَالصَّوَابُ مَا رَوَاهُ شُعْبَةُ ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، وَغَيْرُهُمَا ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ.
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was leading the people in prayer, and a man recited (Qur’an) behind him. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer, he said: “Who is the person trying to cause disruption between these surahs?” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the people from reciting behind the imam. Imam Daraqutni (may Allah have mercy on him) states: The wording of this narration, “The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the people from reciting behind the imam,” is a mistake of the narrator, which occurred to Hajjaj. The correct narration is that which other narrators have transmitted from Qatadah.
