بَابُ ذِكْرِ نِيَابِةِ الْإِمَامِ عَنْ قِرَاءَةِ الْمَأْمُومِينَChapter on the imam substituting for the recitation of the followers
Hadith 1503

مَا ثنا بِهِ مَا ثنا بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ ظبْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، ثنا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، وَأَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، أَنَّهُمَا حُدِّثَا عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الْقِرَاءَةِ خَلْفَ الإِمَامِ : " تَكْفِيكَ قِرَاءَةُ الإِمَامِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding reciting behind the Imam says: "The recitation of the Imam is sufficient for you."
