بَابُ تَلْقِينِ الْمَأْمُومِ لِإِمَامِهِ إِذَا وَقَفَ فِي قِرَاءَتِهِChapter on the follower prompting the imam if he pauses in his recitation
Hadith 1488

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ الصَّوَّافُ ، أنا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلانَ ، أنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَزِيعٍ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " كُنَّا نَفْتَحُ عَلَى الأَئِمَّةِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: During the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we used to prompt our imam.
