Hadith 1410

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ السُّكَيْنِ أَبُو مَنْصُورٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، ثنا مِسْعَرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ أَنْسَى كَمَا تَنْسَوْنَ ، فَأَيُّكُمْ شَكَّ فِي صَلاتِهِ فَلْيَنْظُرْ أَحْرَى ذَلِكَ بِالصَّوَابِ ، فَلْيُتِمَّ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يَسْجُدُ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am also a human being, I forget just as you forget. If anyone has doubt regarding his prayer, then he should consider which situation is closer to the correctness of the prayer, then complete the prayer accordingly and then perform two prostrations of forgetfulness (sajda sahw)."
