بَابُ صِفَةِ السَّهْوِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَأَحْكَامِهِ وَاخْتِلَافِ الرِّوَايَاتِ فِي ذَلِكَ وَأَنَّهُ لَا يَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ شَيْءٌ يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِChapter on the description of forgetfulness in prayer, its rulings, differences in narrations, and that nothing passing in front of one praying invalidates the prayer

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الأَشْعَثِ ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْغَافِقِيُّ ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذَلِكَ " أَنَّهُ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ يَوْمَ جَاءَهُ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ بَعْدَ السَّلامِ " . لَفْظُهُمَا وَاحِدٌ.
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): On the day Sayyiduna Dhul-Yadain came to you (i.e., the day he informed the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about forgetting in prayer), on that day the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed two prostrations of forgetfulness after saying the salam. The wording of both narrations is the same.
