بَابُ صِفَةِ السَّهْوِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَأَحْكَامِهِ وَاخْتِلَافِ الرِّوَايَاتِ فِي ذَلِكَ وَأَنَّهُ لَا يَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ شَيْءٌ يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِChapter on the description of forgetfulness in prayer, its rulings, differences in narrations, and that nothing passing in front of one praying invalidates the prayer

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْجَمَّالِ ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، ثنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ فِي بَادِيَةٍ لَنَا ، فَصَلَّى بِنَا الْعَصْرَ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ كُلَيْبَةٌ وَحِمَارٌ لَنَا ، فَمَا نَهْنَهَهُمَا وَمَا رَدَّهُمَا " .
Sayyiduna Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us while we were in our residence. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the ‘Asr prayer. A small dog and a donkey, which were ours (domesticated), passed in front of him, but we did not stop them nor did we send them back.
