بَابُ مَنْ أَدْرَكَ الْإِمَامَ قَبْلَ إِقَامَةِ صُلْبِهِ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَChapter on whoever catches the imam before he straightens his back has caught the prayer
Hadith 1314

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، ثنا إبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَانِئٍ ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ، ثنا نَافِعُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ الْمَدَنِيُّ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَتَّابِ ، وَابْنُ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا جِئْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلاةِ وَنَحْنُ سُجُودٌ فَاسْجُدُوا وَلا تَعُدُّوهَا ، وَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ الرَّكْعَةَ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلاةَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you come for prayer and we are in the state of prostration, then you should also go into prostration, but do not count it as a rak‘ah, and whoever catches one rak‘ah has caught the prayer."
