Chapter: The saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "The imam is appointed to be followed."

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ مِنْ أَصْلِ كِتَابِ أَبِيهِ ، ثنا أبِي ، ثنا قَيْسٌ ، عَنْ عَمَّارٍ الدُّهْنِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : " مَنْ قَرَأَ خَلْفَ الإِمَامِ فَقَدْ أَخْطَأَ الْفِطْرَةَ " .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whoever recites (Qur'an) behind the Imam has opposed the Sunnah." This narration is also transmitted through another chain, however, it is not authentic.
