Chapter: The saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "The imam is appointed to be followed."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْعَوْفِيُّ ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ الدُّورِيُّ ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ ، وَجَابِرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ إِمَامٌ فَقِرَاءَتُهُ لَهُ قِرَاءَةٌ " . جَابِرٌ وَلَيْثٌ ضَعِيفَانِ .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has an imam (i.e., is performing prayer in congregation), then the recitation of the imam will be considered as his recitation."
