حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَيَّارٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلادٍ ، ثنا أَشْهَبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " أُمُّ الْقُرْآنِ عِوَضٌ مِنْ غَيْرِهَا وَلَيْسَ غَيْرُهَا مِنْهَا بِعِوَضٍ " . تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلادٍ ، عَنْ أَشْهَبَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ . وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ.
Mahmood bin Rabee’ narrates from Sayyiduna ‘Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Surah Al-Fatihah is a substitute for all other surahs, but no other surah can be a substitute for it.” In narrating this tradition, the narrator named Muhammad bin Khallad is unique.
