بَابُ دُعَاءِ الِاسْتِفْتَاحِ بَعْدَ التَّكْبِيرِChapter on the opening supplication after the takbir
Hadith 1146

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ ، ثنا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، حِينَ افْتَتَحَ الصَّلاةَ كَبَّرَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ ، مِثْلَهُ .
Aswad narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), when he began the prayer, after saying the takbeer, he recited: "You are Pure, O Allah!" After that, the narration continues as previously mentioned.
