Sayyiduna Nu’man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) faced the people and said: “Straighten your rows.” He said this three times, (then said): “By Allah, either you will straighten your rows or Allah will cause discord between your hearts.” (The narrator says) So I saw every person joining his shin with the shin of the one next to him, his knee with his knee, and his shoulder with his shoulder (i.e., they were trying to make the rows perfectly straight).
