Hadith 3534
A’mash (Sulaiman bin Mehran, may Allah have mercy on him) said: A man recited (the Qur’an) in the presence of Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), and he was reciting in a melodious tone, which Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) disliked. Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Another narrator said: Ghawrak bin Abi Khudram was the one who recited.
Hadith 3535
Muhammad bin Sirin, may Allah have mercy on him, said: The pious predecessors used to consider these tones in the recitation of the Qur'an as an innovation.
