باب مَنْ قَرَأَ بِمِائَتَيْ آيَةٍ:
Chapter on one who recites two hundred verses
Hadith 3487
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَرِيزٌ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ، يَقُولُ: "مَنْ قَرَأَ مِائَتَيْ آيَةٍ، كُتِبَ مِنْ الْقَانِتِينَ".
Habib bin Ubaid said: I heard Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: Whoever recites two hundred verses will be recorded among the devoutly obedient (Qanitin).
Hadith 3488
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ يُحَنَّسَ مَوْلَى الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَخِي أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ فِي اللَّهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: "مَنْ قَرَأَ مِائَتَيْ آيَةٍ فِي لَيْلَةٍ، كُتِبَ مِنْ الْقَانِتِينَ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever recites two hundred verses at night will be written among the devoutly obedient (Qanitin).”
Hadith 3489
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: "مَنْ قَرَأَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ عَشْرَ آيَاتٍ، لَمْ يُكْتَبْ مِنْ الْغَافِلِينَ، وَمَنْ قَرَأَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ بِمِائَةِ آيَةٍ، كُتِبَ مِنْ الْقَانِتِينَ، وَمَنْ قَرَأَ بِمِائَتَيْ آيَةٍ، كُتِبَ مِنْ الْفَائِزِينَ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Whoever recites ten verses at night will not be written among the heedless; and whoever recites one hundred verses will be written among the devout; and whoever recites two hundred verses will be written among the successful (i.e., he will be counted among the prosperous and triumphant people).
