Hadith 3400
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the person who recites the Qur'an and is proficient in it (i.e., a memorizer) will be with the noble, righteous, recording angels, and the one who recites the Qur'an and finds it difficult to recite, for him there is a double reward." (One reward for reciting the Qur'an and one reward for enduring the difficulty in recitation.)
Hadith 3401
Wahb al-Dhamari said: Whoever Allah grants the blessing of the Qur’an, and he recites it morning and evening, and acts upon what is in it, and dies in obedience and submission, Allah will raise him on the Day of Resurrection with «سفره» and «احكام». Sa’id bin Abdul Aziz said: By «سفره» is meant: the angels, and by «احكام» is meant the prophets. Wahb said: And whoever is eager to memorize the Noble Qur’an but forgets it, and does not abandon it (i.e., continues to recite it), he will have double the reward. And whoever is eager to memorize the Qur’an and forgets it, but departs from this world in obedience and submission, such people are honorable, and their virtue and greatness over others is like the superiority of the vulture over all birds, or like the superiority of a lush pasture over the barren land around it. Then, when the Day of Resurrection comes, it will be said: Where are those who used to recite My Book and were not distracted by tending cattle (i.e., worldly occupations)? Such a person will be granted Paradise and eternity therein. If such a person’s parents also died in obedience and submission, a crown of kingship will be placed upon their heads. They will say: O our Lord, our deeds were not so good. Allah will say: Yes, this is because your son used to recite My Book.
