باب إِذَا اخْتَلَفْتُمْ بِالْقُرْآنِ فَقُومُوا:
Chapter on: If you disagree about the Quran, then leave
Hadith 3391
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ الْأَعْوَرُ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ، عَنْ جُنْدُبٍ: أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: "اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ مَا ائْتَلَفْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ، فَإِذَا اخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِيهِ، فَقُومُوا".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Recite the Qur'an as long as your heart is inclined towards it, but when your heart becomes weary, then stand up (i.e., end the gathering and stop the recitation)."
Hadith 3392
أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ، عَنْ جُنْدُبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: "اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ مَا ائْتَلَفَتْ عَلَيْهِ قُلُوبُكُمْ، فَإِذَا اخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِيهِ، فَقُومُوا".
Sayyiduna Jundub bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Recite the Noble Qur'an as long as your heart is inclined towards it, but when your heart becomes disinterested, then stop reciting.
Hadith 3393
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قُدَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ، عَنْ جُنْدُبٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ مَا ائْتَلَفَتْ عَلَيْهِ قُلُوبُكُمْ، فَإِذَا اخْتَلَفْتُمْ، فِيهِ فَقُومُوا".
The translation of the hadith of Sayyiduna Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) has already been mentioned above.
