Hadith 3338
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Indeed, the person who does not have anything of the Noble Qur’an in his chest is like a deserted house.”
Hadith 3339
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: This Noble Qur’an is the banquet of Allah Almighty, so take from it as much as you can. To my knowledge, there is no house more in need than the one in which there is not a portion of Allah’s Book. Indeed, the heart in which there is nothing from the Book of Allah is desolate, like a house in which no one lives.
Hadith 3340
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Learn this Noble Qur'an, you will be given ten rewards for every letter you recite from it. I do not say that «الم» is one letter, rather «الف لام ميم» are three letters, and for each letter there are ten rewards.
Hadith 3341
Hafs bin Ghiyath Hanafi narrated that Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: Indeed, if the Qur’an is recited in a house, it becomes spacious for its inhabitants, (the merciful) angels are present there, and Satan flees from that house, and goodness increases in it. And the house in which the Noble Qur’an is not recited becomes constricted for its inhabitants, the angels leave it, Satan comes and resides in it, and goodness becomes scarce in it.
Hadith 3342
Uqbah bin Amir says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "If the Noble Qur'an is written on leather and then thrown into the fire, it will not burn."
Hadith 3343
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Recite the Qur'an, for it will be a very good intercessor on the Day of Resurrection. On the Day of Resurrection, it will say: O my Lord! Adorn him (the reciter of the Qur'an) with the ornament of honor. Thus, he will be adorned with the ornaments of honor and dignity. Then it will say: O Lord! Also clothe him with the garment of honor. Thus, that person will be clothed with the garment of honor. Then it will intercede: O Lord! Also crown him with the crown of honor. O Lord! Be pleased with him, for after Your pleasure, nothing else is needed.

Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: On the Day of Resurrection, the Noble Qur’an will come and intercede for its reciter, saying: O Lord! Every laborer receives wages for his work, and I used to prevent him from pleasure and sleep, so honor him. It will be said: Extend your right hand, and it will be filled with the pleasure of Allah Almighty. Then it will be said: Spread your left hand, and it too will be filled with the pleasure of Allah Almighty. He will be clothed with the garment of honor and dignity, adorned with the jewelry of nobility, and a crown of honor will be placed upon his head.
Hadith 3345
Abu Salih said: The Noble Qur'an will intercede for its reciter, so he will be clothed with a garment of honor. The Qur'an will say: O Lord! Increase (the reward), so a crown of honor will be placed on him. Then it will say: O Lord! Grant even more, bestow more upon him. Allah Almighty will grant him His pleasure. Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Wahib bin Al-Ward said: Make the recitation of the Qur'an a source of knowledge, not (just) an act.
Hadith 3346
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Would any of you like that when he returns to his house, he finds three very fat pregnant she-camels?" It was said: Certainly, O Messenger of Allah! (Each one of us would like that), he said: "Then three verses which a person recites are better than those three (fat pregnant) she-camels."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Verily, this Qur'an is the banquet of Allah, so acquire as much knowledge from His banquet as you can. Indeed, this Noble Qur'an is the rope of Allah, light, healing, and beneficial. Whoever holds fast to it, for him it is a means (of protection from sins), and whoever follows it, for him it is salvation. Whoever walks upon it will not go astray so that he would need to seek approval, nor will he be crooked so that he would need to be straightened. Its wonders will never cease, and it will not become old by repeated recitation. Recite it, for indeed Allah the Exalted will reward you for its recitation; for every letter, there are ten good deeds. I do not say that "Alif Lam Meem" is one letter, but rather Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Meem is a letter.

Sayyiduna Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One day, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up to deliver a sermon. He praised Allah and glorified Him, then said: "O people! I am a human being. Soon, the messenger of my Lord (the angel of death) will come to me and I will accept (his call). I am leaving among you two weighty things: the first is the Book of Allah, in it is guidance and light. So hold fast to the Book of Allah and adhere to it firmly." Thus, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) encouraged and urged towards the Book of Allah. Then he said: "And my family (Ahl al-Bayt), I remind you by Allah regarding my family, I remind you by Allah regarding my family, I remind you by Allah regarding my family." He said this three times.
Hadith 3349
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: This path is surrounded, the devils have surrounded it (i.e., they call towards the path of misguidance) and they call out, "O Abdullah" (and in another narration, "O servants of Allah"), "this is the right path." So hold firmly to the rope of Allah, and the rope of Allah is the Noble Qur'an.

Khalid bin Ma'dan said: Indeed, for the one who recites the Qur'an and the one who learns the Qur'an, the angels continue to supplicate for them until they finish the surah. Therefore, the one who recites and learns the Qur'an should leave two verses and recite them at the end of the day, so that the angels continue to supplicate for the reciter and the teacher from morning till evening.
Hadith 3351
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: Recite the Qur'an; do not be deceived by these hanging copies of the Mushaf, for Allah Almighty will never punish the heart in which the Qur'an resides (i.e., the one who has memorized the Qur'an).

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Among people, there are some who are Allah's people." Sayyiduna Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Hold fast to the Qur'an, for it gives understanding to the intellect, it is the light of wisdom, the source of knowledge, and among the books that bring one close to Allah, it is the newest. Follow this Qur’an, and (beware) do not let the Qur’an pursue you, for whoever follows the Qur’an, it will lead him to the gardens of Paradise, and whoever is pursued by the Qur’an, it will drag him by the back of his neck and throw him into Hell. It is narrated from Harith al-A'war that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: It was submitted to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): After you, it is possible that your Ummah may be afflicted with tribulations. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said, they asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), or it was asked from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), what is the way out from these tribulations? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The way out from it is the honorable Book of Allah (which falsehood cannot approach, neither from before it nor from behind it, it is sent down from the Wise, the Praiseworthy... Fussilat 41:42), whoever seeks guidance in anything other than it, Allah will misguide him, whoever is made a ruler over an affair and judges without it, Allah will break him, it is the wise reminder, the clear light, and the straight path. This Qur'an is such that when the jinn heard it, they could not refrain from saying, 'We have heard a marvelous Qur'an, which guides to the right path.' [الجن 1/72]
It does not become old by repeated recitation (that is, a person does not get bored of it), its lessons do not end, nor do its wonders ever cease." Then Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Harith al-A'war: Memorize this, O A'war.

It is narrated from Ibrahim, may Allah have mercy on him, regarding this verse: «﴿وَمَنْ يُؤْتَ الْحِكْمَةَ . . . . . .﴾» [البقره: 269/2] that by "wisdom" is meant understanding of the Qur'an. That is: whoever is given wisdom and understanding has been given much good.
Hadith 3366

Mujahid said: «﴿يُؤْتِي الْحِكْمَةَ مَنْ يَشَاءُ . . . . . .﴾» [البقره: 269/2] Allah grants wisdom to whom He wills; in this verse, wisdom means the Divine Book, and whoever (Allah wills), He grants sound judgment.

Khaythamah said to his wife: Beware! Do not let those who drink wine enter my house, even if the Qur'an is recited in it every three days.
Hadith 3368
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: What is it that prevents any one of you, when he returns home from the market or after fulfilling his need, from sitting on his bed and reciting three verses of the Qur'an?
