Hadith 3068
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: "تَرِثُ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ دِيَةِ زَوْجِهَا فِي الْعَمْدِ وَالْخَطَإِ".
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The wife will inherit the blood money (diyah) of her husband, whether it is for intentional killing or accidental killing.
Hadith 3069
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: "الدِّيَةُ عَلَى فَرَائِضِ اللَّهِ".
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The rightful claimants of blood money are those whom Allah Almighty has assigned shares.
Hadith 3070
Abu Qilabah said: The method of blood money is like the method of inheritance.
Hadith 3071
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، وَدَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ: أن عمر بن عبد العزيز كتب أن: "يورث الإخوة من الأم من الدية".
Humaid and Dawud bin Abi Hind said: Umar bin Abdul Aziz, may Allah have mercy on him, wrote that the maternal brother should be made an heir to the blood money (diyah).
Hadith 3072
Ibn Shihab said: The blood money of the slain is inheritance among the heirs according to the Book of Allah and the shares He has prescribed.
Hadith 3073
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whoever does not give maternal brothers a share of inheritance from blood money has committed injustice.
Hadith 3074
It is narrated from Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Umar, Sayyiduna Ali, and Sayyiduna Zaid (may Allah be pleased with them) said: The inheritance of blood money will be distributed in the same way as the inheritance of wealth is distributed, whether the blood money is for accidental killing or for intentional killing.
