Hadith 2933
Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote regarding the inheritance of the grandfather, but when he was wounded by a spear, he had what was written brought to him and erased it, and said: You people should use your own judgment in this matter.
Hadith 2934
أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ، أنبأنا أَشْعَثُ، عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِعَبِيدَةَ: حَدِّثْنِي عَنِ الْجَدِّ، فَقَالَ: "إِنِّي لَأَحْفَظُ فِي الْجَدِّ ثَمَانِينَ قَضِيَّةً مُخْتَلِفَةً".
Muhammad bin Sirin, may Allah have mercy on him, said: I said to Ubaidah, "Tell me about the grandfather." He replied, "I remember eighty different issues regarding the grandfather."
Hadith 2935
Abdullah bin Amr Kharfi said: A man came to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked about (the obligation of) inheritance, so he said: If there is no mention of the grandfather in it, then ask.
Hadith 2936
A man from Murad heard Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, saying: Whoever likes to let the germs of Hell enter him, let him give a verdict in the matter of grandfather and brothers.
