Chapter on a polytheist woman
Hadith 2916
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، وَالْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ: فِي زَوْجٍ، وَأُمٍّ، وَإِخْوَةٍ لِأَبٍ وَأُم، وَإِخْوَةٍ لِأُمٍّ، قَالَ: كَانَ عُمَر، وَعَبْدُ اللَّه، ِوَزَيْدٌ يُشَرِّكُونَ، وَقَالَ عُمَرُ: "لَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ الْأَبُ إِلَّا قُرْبًا".
It is narrated from Imam Ibrahim Nakha'i, may Allah have mercy on him, regarding the husband, mother, and full and maternal brothers, that he said: Sayyiduna Umar, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud, and Sayyiduna Zaid, may Allah be pleased with them, used to include all brothers in the share of inheritance, and Sayyiduna Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said: The father brings the full brothers closer than the maternal brothers.
Hadith 2917
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنْ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ: أَنَّهُ كَانَ "لَا يُشَرِّكُ".
Harith said: Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) did not include all brothers as partners.
Hadith 2918
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ: أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ كَانَ يُشَرِّك، وَعَلِيٌّ كَانَ لا يُشَرِّكُ".
Abu Majliz said: Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) used to share, and Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) did not share.
Hadith 2919
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ ابْنِ ذَكْوَانَ: "أَنَّ زَيْدًا كَانَ يُشَرِّكُ".
Ibn Dhakwan said: Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) used to include (all) the brothers as partners.
Hadith 2920
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ شُرَيْح: "أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُشَرِّكُ.
Abdul Malik bin Umair said: (Judge) Shurayh used to take partners.
Hadith 2921
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّلْتِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شِهَابٍ، عَنْ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ فَيْرُوزَ، عَنْ أَبِيه: أَنَّ عُمَرَ قَالَ فِي الْمُشَرَّكَة: "لَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ الْأَبُ إِلَّا قُرْبًا.
Saeed bin Firoz narrated from his father that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said regarding the issue of a polytheist woman: The father and closeness create a bond among all three types of brothers.
