Chapter on gentleness
Hadith 2828
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ هُوَ ابْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ يُونُسَ , وَحُمَيْدٍ , عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ: أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ: "إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ، وَيُعْطِي عَلَيْهِ مَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى الْعُنْفِ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty loves gentleness, and He grants for gentleness what He does not grant for harshness."
Hadith 2829
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ فِي الْأَمْرِ كُلِّهِ".
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty loves gentleness in every matter."
