Chapter on the prohibition of cursing animals
Hadith 2712
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ: أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ، فَسَمِعَ لَعْنَةً، فَقَالَ: "مَا هَذَا ؟". قَالُوا: فُلَانَةُ لَعَنَتْ رَاحِلَتَهَا . فَقَالَ: "ضَعُوا عَنْهَا فَإِنَّهَا مَلْعُونَةٌ" . قَالَ: فَوَضَعُوا عَنْهَا . قَالَ عِمْرَانُ: كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا نَاقَةً وَرْقَاءَ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was on a journey when he heard someone cursing. He said: "What is this?" The people replied: "It is such-and-such woman; she has cursed her mount." He said: "Unload her belongings from it, for it has been cursed." So the people unloaded her belongings from it. Sayyiduna Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) said: It is as if I am looking at it now; it was a grayish she-camel.
