باب مَا جَاءَ أَنَّ عَلَى ذِرْوَةِ كُلِّ بَعِيرٍ شَيْطَاناً:
Chapter: Every camel’s hump has a devil
Hadith 2702
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْأَسْلَمِيِّ، قَالَ: وَقَدْ صَحِبَ أَبُوهُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "عَلَى ذِرْوَةِ كُلِّ بَعِيرٍ شَيْطَانٌ، فَإِذَا رَكِبْتُمُوهَا فَسَمُّوا اللَّهَ وَلَا تُقَصِّرُوا عَنْ حَاجَاتِكُمْ".
Muhammad bin Hamzah bin Amr Aslami said, and his father, Sayyiduna Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him), was among the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: I heard my father say, he used to say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is a devil on every camel's hump, so when you mount a camel, mention the name of Allah (i.e., say Bismillah), and do not be negligent in your needs."
