باب إِذَا سُلِّمَ عَلَى الرَّجُلِ وَهُوَ يَبُولُ:
Chapter: Greeting someone who is urinating
Hadith 2677
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ الْحُضَيْنِ، عَنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ بْنِ قُنْفُذٍ: أَنَّهُ سَلَّمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَبُولُ، "فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ حَتَّى تَوَضَّأَ، فَلَمَّا تَوَضَّأَ، رَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muhajir bin Qunfudh (may Allah be pleased with him) that he greeted the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was urinating, so he did not reply to his greeting. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution, and then replied to the greeting.
